thoughtfully crafted, treasured Persian Flavors

Meet Our Founder, Naz

I was born in Iran, where food is far more than sustenance. It is an expression of love, a keeper of memory, and a deeply rooted cultural tradition. In Persian culture, hospitality is not just a gesture; it is a way of life.

We moved to the United States when I was just 12 years old, to Nashville, a city that welcomed us with open arms and quickly became home. Its strong sense of community and creative spirit shaped so much of who I am today. I grew up here, found my voice here, fell in love here, and built a life surrounded by incredible people. Throughout the years, Nashville’s open-hearted embrace of culture and tradition has deeply influenced my journey. It’s a city that embraces diversity while staying deeply rooted in tradition, qualities that mirror the values I hold close in my own life and in the food we serve at Noôsh. That spirit inspired me to share the flavors of my heritage with a community that’s always ready to discover, connect, and savor something new. I’m proud to call Nashville home, and I can’t imagine planting roots anywhere else.

Noôsh is the most personal endeavor I have ever undertaken. It represents the merging of heritage, purpose, and heart. Our menu is built on the foundation of treasured family recipes, both from my own upbringing and from my exceptional mother-in-law, a masterful cook whose culinary wisdom has inspired and guided me. Together, we have crafted dishes such as the rich, aromatic Fessenjoon, the herbaceous Ghormeh Sabzi, and sizzling kabobs—all prepared with the same care and intention as if we were serving our own family at home.

We can’t wait to welcome you to share our table, our stories, and our love – one unforgettable bite at a time.

Unforgettable Flavors Await!

“I remember the first time I invited my mother-in-law over for dinner. I made Ghormeh Sabzi—the herbaceous Persian stew that holds a sacred place in our cuisine. I had carefully chopped, sautéed, and simmered, and had tried to perfect the balance of herbs, dried lime, and tender meat. I nervously set the dish down, knowing she was the kind of cook who measured with her hands and cooked with her soul. She took one bite, smiled softly, and said, “Now you’re cooking like a Persian.” That moment stayed with me—not just because of the dish, but because of what it meant: to carry a legacy forward, and make it my own. That’s what we do at Noôsh, every single day.

“My husband and I also share a deep love for travel, and over the years we’ve explored cities across the U.S. and around the world, always drawn to the dishes that define a place. These culinary adventures have broadened my view of food as a universal language—one that transcends borders and brings people together. That spirit of connection is something I pour into my cooking, both for our guests and for our children at home.”
